A new world record for the largest margarita ever made was created by the Margaritaville (café restaurant chain) on the 14th of October 2011 at Flamingo Las Vegas in the evening at around 5 o’clock. This record has been verified by the Guinness World Records.

This event took place as a part of the grand opening for the new Margaritaville casino at Flamingo Las Vegas.

While celebrating the new World Record, Jimmy Buffett surprised fans by making an appearance in front of more than 1,000 Parrotheads and onlookers with a glass of Lucky Rita in hand.
