In the major development that took place in Costa Rica gambling market Costa Rican government have planned to introduce bill to regulate gambling operated from Costa Rican soil. It is expected the if this bill is implemented then it will generate around 100 million US dollars for the country enconomy! the bill is expected to be introduced in assemby this week for consideration.

For a long time Costa Rican gambling industry was unregulated and uncensored but this step from Costa Rican goverment may lead the gambling entrepreneurs to move to some other soil like Panama where gambling is still unsensored.

One goverment official was quoted saying “The principal idea of the bill is to regulate activity” he also added “Gambling is something that we are currently not monitoring and, thus, not taking advantage of. If we can regulate it, it could create millions more dollars for the economy.”

On the other hand betCRIS CEO, Mickey Richardson, said, “They (Costa Rican Government) needs to understand our business and the consequences before passing such a law,” “Hopefully nothing will happen. I think they would ask for our input and then we might be more supportive.”
