William Hill a known and one of the key players in online gambling in UK has hinted to move its online gambling operations to offshore. This development has come amidst global recession period when most of the international firms are cutting down their man power.

Since the laws in UK are relaxed for gambling and outside gambling companies are allowed to operate from UK soil and have to pay less tax. This has increased the competition in UK gambling market.

William Hill do not consider themselves as a UK based gambling but as a global player. According to William Hill CEO they are facing tough competition in telephone and internet gambling at a global level.

They have done a lot in last five years and looking forward to do much more in the next decade or so. They do not want to take any risk!

William Hill CEO was heard saying “We face worldwide competition from 400 or so English-language betting websites. In these circumstances, clearly we do not have the luxury of being parochial about our future or taking a simplistic stance on complicated issues,”
